Aunty Abena, as we all referred to her in Benin was like a mother to all of us and a guide to us who were very close to her. Ensuring our health and safety in any way that she could. She made our stay in Benin almost seamless and I'd just like to say a big thank you on behalf of everyone she ever helped during our stay. May the Lord accept her in his heavenly bossom, till we meet again.

Abby! You took such good care of me whenever I would visit Ohemma and Oba! I am so very sorry I didn’t get to see you in the psychical before this happened. I speak about your selflessness and how you cooled your cultures food for us all the time until this day. I even often think about how I hit my toe nail coming from the pool and you called the doctor and made sure I was comfortable. Such a beautiful soul. I can’t believe that I won’t get to see you again. I am praying for your children and the family! I will miss you dearly! Love always Kyesha

Auntie Abena as I called her, played a motherly role during my stay in Benin. She always advised me to prioritise healthy eating and even taught me some recipes whenever I shared with her a health problem. I'd check in with her occasionally until one day when I didn't get any response from her, only to see a poster , observing her one week of passing. I can't describe the shock . I appreciate you and I know I will see you again one day. Rest well,Auntie Abena.

Abena was my sister from another mother. She was my confidant, my best friend and colleague. Her last words was that she was waiting for me so we hang out together. I rushed back to Ghana from my post so that I could accompany her to her hospital appointments. Little did I know that I will be seeing her off. Oh Aj as I fondly called her. My heart is very heavy. But God knows best. You were a very beautiful soul. Thank you for being my companion in this life. Farewell my dearest sister. Rest in the bossom of our Lord till we meet again. I love you very much my Aj. Rest in eternal peace. You fought hard. You are victorious. Rest well dearest friend. May the angels guard you home safely. Amen
