Dearest Irene, I just want you to know that this is hardly goodbye, because for me you are just away physically but in my heart you'll always be.
So I celebrate your life the measure of its worth and every single one you touched, I know I'm one of them because you showed me what it truly meant to be courageous, hopeful and positive. You taught me through your actions that in life you can either have RESULTS or EXCUSES,- NOT BOTH.
Even at your lowest you always managed a smile.
We were not just friends but sisters and its been a privilege to have known you. I will always cherish the fond memories.Β
I will carry you in spirit until we meet again. Thank you.

I could not believe it when I was told that you had passed away at such a YOUNG age! We both share 4th February as our birth month. So I was very shocked that you have passed at 38 in the year that I cerebrated my 75th birthday!
Despite your long illness, you showed courage and determination and got on with life, a character which I greatly admired. I will always remember your smile and willingness to help me when I visited Ghana a few years ago. You will never be forgotten.
Irene rest in peace.
