I remember when I met Prof in medical school as one of my examiners. The first comment he made to his colleague when I entered the room for my Viva Voce was '' See how she's all grown up. I saw her childhood when she used to wee wee all over the floor, she's a big madam now!!". Everyone in the room burst out laughing and that was the ice breaker for me easing all the anxiety I entered the room with. Prof. Jacob Plange-Rhule, you were such a gentleman of honour. My family is still in shock you're no more with us. Rest well Uncle Jake, Rest well!!! Though untimely, God knows best.
Aunty Gyikua, God will keep strengthening you and the girls.
Tis well.

You were pragmatic yet incisive in your own gentle manner in a recent meeting with you and some of the Paediatric and Child health leaders of the College. The occasion was in January when the UNICEF representatives presented a copy of the "Child Protection Guidelines for Health Workers" and what the College was going to do about this problem.?You didnot waste time to charge us to organise series of training for all faculties who come across children .as you saw that the College needs to take this up .That s good leadership . We have not yet begun our task and you have suddenly left us.Jacob Thank you for all your hard work for the College. Rest in perfect Peace

I'm still at a loss for words. We spoke only about 2 weeks or so before your untimely death. I wish I had another chance to express my profound gratitude and to tell you what an enduring impact you have had in my life. Thank you for everything, for taking me under your wing and making room for me in your family like I was your very own...you will never be forgotten. Rest well great great man. Rest well.
