It was a shock hearing about the death of our dear friend and school mate. We know this is a very painful loss for us all and the entire families and we can only send

*our condolences to us all and the entire families.*

During these difficult times, the scriptures that help are the ones that strengthen our faith in the resurrection.

Hopefully, you can take time out of your mourning period to carefully read and meditate on the account of Lazarus’ death and the following events:

1. how the sisters expressed their strong hope in the resurrection and

2. ⁠how Jesus grieved the loss of his friend Lazarus.

There is no doubt that this account will help u cope with your loss.

As you read from God’s word, the Bible, please pay particular attention to the words in verses 20 to 27. Also verses 33 to 35 show how Jesus felt and reacted. Our hope for everlasting life and the resurrection is emphasized in this account many years before now.

Jehovah is the perfect Judge​ and His decisions are just and righteous. (Psalm 33:4, 5.) We are thus confident that our God Jehovah, *the Judge of all the earth,* will do what is right for all his servants.​—Gen. 18:25. The ransom sacrifice of His dear son, Jesus, will undo all the effects of sin, of which death is foremost. Jah’s promises, penned at Revelations 21:3-5, is a real assurance of the future of His servants. Read the verse 5 of this scripture again and see how our dear loving Father, Jehovah, assures us of these promises (Rev 21:3&4).

May the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials continue to comfort you and the entire family in these difficult times (2Cor 1:3,4).
