To my dearest and favourite Uncle Alex. We are all so shattered to hear of your passing, but we are comforted to know that you are most certainly in the bosom of your Lord and Saviour.

I have such fond memories of you from almost my earliest recollection. My siblings and I were also so excited when we heard that you would be in town. You always came with some sort of gift and I think dad used to get a little jealous about how excited we always were to see you. I can never think of you and Aunty Kate without a smile on my face.

I loved everything about you. Your laugh, your personality, you love for Aunty Kate, your wit, your zest for life, your amazing friendship spanning decades and decades with my parents, your love for the Lord and the friendship we shared as a family. You truly were family and I wish I had been able to spend more time with you, especially during the brief periods Kofi and I would be home. Kofi especially loved chatting with you and you accepted him as a son, unconditionally.

We will always love and cherish the blessing you were in our lives. Stephen, Cilla myself and Tim at least always agreed on one thing. You were our favorite uncle and always will be. My love to Aunty Kate, David, Rob and Magistrate. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time and we desperately wish we could be there with you in person. May the Lord Himself comfort you as only He can. I love you all very much. Love and sincere condolences from Kofi and I.

I am saddened to hear of your homecall, Alex. It was only a week ago that I was thinking of you and Kate while at Abiriw for a few days. i also remember my wife and I saying hello to you and Kate about two years ago around the spot I was walking last week. I also remember the occasions we were able to get together with you and your family at Abiriw and Berekuso. I had assumed that you were going to be around for some time to impart of your knowledge to the students of Lancaster University Ghana, but alas, this was not to be.
Your courteous disposition to all was remarkable. We thank the Lord that you had an abiding faith in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Rest in the Lord till we meet on the resurrection morn.
May the God of all grace comfort Kate and the boys.

God has called you too soon Alex, you had a lot to offer in life. May the love of the Lord enfold you, and may your family have the strength to deal with their loss in these difficult times.
